Love was eternal
would you let it slip away

If you knew how much
God loves you
would you talk to him
and pray you could hear him really say
how much He loves you
and what he needed you to do today
If you knew how much God loves you
would you pass it on
like a loud contagious song
to let it ring on
like the Bells of Saint Mary
or would you tarry and trifle
like it was too scary
If you knew the God who is so hot
he made all the heat in the sun
and so powerful the oceans make waves that break on
shores of sand too numerous to count-
a love higher than Mount Killamanjaro
and wider than the Sarengetti plane
deeper than the ocean mists
and softer than the rain
If you knew the tenderness
that held a new born baby
and wiped the tears from inside the grave
before he rose again
would you still run
and hide inside
or fall into the embrace
of arms outstretched in love
a love so strong that even death
could not keep it down.
Even Death cannot end it
So what's the point of pretending
