Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Georgetown is honoring the Feast of the Body of Christ Day
by holding its annual picnic at the beautiful grounds of Visitation school, starting with a Mass at 10:30am. All are invited, bring the kiddies. Lots of great frying up kosher dogs on the grill, homemade deserts and fruit salads.
In the Afternoon, the combined efforts of Saint Matthews' Social Justice and Hospitality Committees will serve the many homeless residents of downtown Washington, DC with a big luncheon. If you want to drop off any goodies to contribute to the effort stop by the North Conference room at around 1:00 pm Sunday.
And in keeping with the fact that Jesus came to earth as a baby in human form for a reason, see below another fun story on how eager someone was to get to earth.
