PREACHING.
Jim Wallis, author of the New York Times best-seller, The Great Awakening: Reviving Faith and Politics in a Post-Religious Right America, will be at the Washington National Cathedral.
On Sunday, March 15, Jim Wallis will engage in a spirited conversation with the dean of the cathedral, Samuel T. Lloyd, for the weekly dialogue series, "The Sunday Forum: Critical Issues in the Light of Faith."
They will focus on the topic of "A Pastoral Response to the Economic Crisis." The event will start at 10:10 a.m. in the cathedral nave.
Following the Sunday Forum, Jim will preach at the 11:15 a.m. Holy Eucharist.
As part of the ongoing "Celebration of American Preaching" series, Jim is among an array of distinguished preachers from various perspectives and traditions to preach at the Canterbury Pulpit.
Both events are free and open to the public.
