As you approach La Maison Française, leave your car with our valet parking service, and stroll down our welcoming red carpet. Once inside, you will be presented with a flute that you can fill and refill with Champagnes from France's finest Champagne houses. Savor food from the most prestigious area restaurants then move your feet on the ballroom dance floor to live music provided by the Bob Hardwick Orchestra!The ChampagnesG. H. MON, DEC 5 AT 7:30PM: Mathieu Dufour, flute - CLASSICALPraised as "a marvel" by the Chicago Sun-Times, French flutist Mathieu Dufour is one of the most breathtakingly talented musicians of his generation. His pure sound and flawless technique have left audiences and fellow musicians in awe. At the age of 25, he was appointed principal flute of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra by Daniel Barenboim, making him one of the youngest players ever to hold such a position. THUR, APR 12 AT 7:30PM: Diotima String Quartet - CONTEMPORARY At the core of the Diotima's musical mission is the conviction that contemporary works should be just as accessible as other musical genres. Diotima has received multiple "Diapason d'or" for its recordings. The most recent — quartets of George Onslow on the Naïve label — was been awarded the January 2010 "Diapason d'or" and CD of the month. TUES, MAY 22 AT 7:30PM: Nemanja Radulovic, violin & Laure Favre-Kahn, piano - CLASSICAL Violinist Nemanja Radulovic is the winner of the City of Belgrade's October Prize for music, the Talent of the Year from the Ministry of Education of the Serbian Republic, among many other international awards. Pianist Laure Favre-Kahn studied at the Conservatoires in Avignon and Paris - where she was awarded a Premier Prix.
