A Discovery To Be Thankful For: The Ratner Museum, in suburban DC -http://www.ratnermuseum.com/
A friend took me to see this Museum. Find it. If you are anywhere near DC over Thanksgiving or Christmas you don't want to miss this one tucked in the suburbs. The same sculptor who sculpted some of the statues at the Ellis Island Museum in New York are featured here in the permanent collection.
They have an amazing collection of First (Old ) Testament bible scenes. I would say this is a mandatory outing for any Catholic school or bible class. Make an afternoon of it- they have classes in the carriage house. It's just spectacular art.
