We are Prepared to Help!
The Haitian government does not have the capacity to help them. Who will help them? They are counting on us!
Foundation for Peace (FFP) staff and partners left Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic this morning with food for 1,000 Haitians and a generator to power a water purification system for people in the southeastern region of Haiti. While not in the worst hit area where the US government and large NGO's are working, these people are cut off from food and other supplies, have damaged homes and because the Haitians are no longer allowed to cross the border into the Dominican Republic for work, food, water, banking and other needs, these are really suffering.
Our funds for this crisis are limited and we need your financial support to continue providing help. In addition, we hope to begin collecting needed items to ship there and are planning for special mission trips in March to provide expanded personalized assistance.
