White-

Washington the Message

White-Washingtoning the message.
The Republican party still has an old guard that use the "N" word behind closed doors. These same people might have 'mixed' relatives but not on purpose and they don't get invited to the family Thanksgiving dinner. The racist undercurrent of the GOP is never more evident than when you gather a bunch of their grass roots in one large Mormon owned hotel chain for an annual event of wheeling deeling whooplahing. Looking around the mob scene one observes a handful of orthodox Jewish people (OK, 3) Howard Fineman, and one lone elegant African American holding a Newt 2012 sign. The rest of the hundred of masses yearning to breathe free were whiter than the driven snow. This, you might say is just coincidence as they have people like Allan West on stage. Don't forget that guy Steele who was the head of the Republicans last year. Then you look at the program and note that that they dedicate a break out session to the 'Failure of Multiculturalism and Diversity' and realize this is not by accident. They dedicate a meeting room to this and put it in the bulletin. Not to play the race card, but where are all the darker than my freckles people? The rap that the Republicans are the White-Washingtonian party is not, it seems all that inaccurate.
Reagan was invoked by nearly all of them at some point on the stump as the standard bearing icon. Reagan was nearly universally reviled by the people who disliked his insensitivity to racial justice matters who remember him more for calling ketsup a vegetable than for bringing down the fall of the Evil Soviet Empire or his Space program. All hail the great white leader from across the country who parachutted into Washington doesn't sit well with the African Americans who have called the place home for generations and didn't particularly think a white guy from California had any better idea for how they should run their life. Republicans it seems are going to nominate someone (unless Newt gets a third wind) who belongs unapolagetically to a 'church' (not really)
that openly discriminated against African Americans until 1978 and who still have undercurrents of the bad theology in a deep seated racist attitude in their psychological history. Anyone who really understands how racist the Mormon church is should be scared out of their minds that the Republicans are going to nominate a Mormon for President. In Mormonworld multiracial couples just both lose their jobs. The "America" that they are all clamoring about losing is their vision of the White America where 'multiculturalism' failed. It is on the program.
It's a reality denying America that doesn't see large numbers of Americans or think they fit into the equation. The rage on stage felt more like a confederate mob riot pep rally reviling Obama. It sounded downright hateful at times.

It's why they aren't going to make traction against Obama. At least Newt doesn't want to kick grandmothers out of their beds and send them back to El Salvador.
