Romney- For Bankruptcy Trustee
Romney's strategy at Bain was often to drive companies into bankruptcy after taking them to market in IPOs that netted his company and him personally hundreds of millions of dollars. It is a gimmicky form of capitalism that poses as turn around artistry. Anyone who is fooled by it should study what Bain did with actual companies- or google/You-Tube John Stewart. He is not the kind of person who cares for the little guy. And he gives a rat's A about 'the poor.'
He went on 'mission' to Northern France for crying out loud. That's because at the time that he went on Mission, his church banned any blacks/African Americans from joining the church at all- they were allegedly agents of Satan-and that is why they have black skin allegedly. That is what Mitt was taught was biblical truth and that is what he missionized around Northern France.
Also, has anyone noticed that "Bain" is not Romney's name? That is because Bain is the name of someone else who started the company that Romney actually worked for initially- and after a few serious fraud allegations around the world were investigated concerning some of their partners
Romney took off with other partners and formed another version of Bain, which is not the original Bain. Google it- Wikepedia it. Anyone doing serious opposition research on Romney should discover how he and other partners of the initial Bain after fraud allegations concerning deals in England and elsewhere split from the first Bain founders (including the guy actually who is named Bain) to do business their way- which while Romney was there looked to the casual observer borderline fraudulent in terms of how they approached companies with their alleged turn around strategy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bain_Capital It looks like the first partners at Bain & Co , who are not the partners at Bain Capital, kicked Romney and others out of the partnership after the Guiness and other fiascos where major governmental investigations were launched. Has he addressed that? Who is going to ask him what happened there?
Another quasi-fraudulent sounding refrain of Romney's presentation is that he keeps saying he did not inherit his father's money. Technically probably correct- his father was still alive when he gave him investment capital and routed his friends to give him investment capital. If your dad kickstarts your equity investment career by giving your partnership millions of dollars that is technically not 'inheriting' money. But we get it. He is not 'self-made' hot off the mission field as a poor missionary who stumbled onto a Harvard JD/MBA and launched a private equity career on his own. His daddy helped him and that's why he likely was invited into the game.
You have to have your head examined if you think that Romney is a good man for the country.
Deceptive, sneaky, and there is no excuse for someone who can pay the best accountants he can find to not file all the appropriate forms to comply with tax and reporting requirements.
Off shore accounts have been held by people like him precisely to avoid tax liabilities-
