Stuck on Reverse
Today, The day that the Ninth Circuit came out essentially saying it is unconstitutional to ban gay marriage in California Santorum is reported to be saying
that gay couples do not advance or help society-or something similar.
Could this timing be more off?
Is society advanced or helped by one person? Why not two of the same gender working together. I don't understand him. Yes, society is advanced and helped by anyone advancing and helping society. Does anyone care or know whether Proust was gay and did he advance the arts? What if he had a 'married' partner.
I personally know an elderly gentleman who had major heart surgery around the time that his wife had something of a nervous breakdown and had to leave him during his heart surgery recovery. The gay male couple down the street literally nursed the man to health, made sure he had enough good food to eat, did shopping for him and walked the dog until he got well enough. Gay people are everywhere doing great things for people individually and in couples. What silliness to suggest that a heterosexual couple by virtue of their sex helps better. Some heterosexual couples are all for themselves and don't help anyone. There is also a story today where a married hetero man killed all his kids then himself. Whether you advance society or help people has nothing to do with your sexual orientation or whether you practice it. What about the gay couples who want to adopt kids who otherwise would either not make it or be bounced from foster homes without loving consistent support? He would rather kids be aborted than adopted into gay families?
I don't understand him. Why are people so threatened by this? Can you name me ONE straight person who decided not to get married because gay people want to? Don't get it.
