The Christian "unity" call of, inter alia, that American Papist crier who believes that he is qualified by virtue of his doctrinal training to label people as fake or 'astroturf' Catholics, even going so far as to rename them Catholyks (like Catholic lite or something) over the Gay equality issue could not have been more insensitively misplaced on World Aids Day. Many of us, straight and gay, know real people who actually died from AIDS. One in NINE people in DC has HIV. That puts more than a tenth of the entire DC population in a potentially fatally medically vulnerable position. There was a Vigil at Saint Matthews last night where candles were lit on the steps and prayers said for lost friends. Could there be any more obnoxious a day to start a Facebook group to oppose the Georgetown Gay Equality lecture or conference?

Could there be any more glaring and obvious reason why the Republicans are not viewed warmly when it comes to their social issues? Where does he keep his metal tongue tongs for heretics (ripping out of...)

If only that American Papist kid put as much time into finding a heterosexual mate as he did blasting people who disagree with him, he might have any street cred whatsoever on any of these 'marriage' and 'life' issues. Might I suggest e-harmony. Because by the looks of him I must say, he doth protest too much. The day he actually has a baby instead of berating 'choice' people (who disagree really only on strategy for reducing abortions given women have total control over their bodies anyway) I will pop champaign and may even get to retire this blog. It's hard keeping up with the dominican inquisition.
