and requires me to read it to his face-here is what I would say:
Charles Rangel is 80 years old. He is a distinguished most senior member of our august body.
He has served his constituents and this institution faithfully, humbly, earnestly and devotedly for 40 years as a
dedicated public servant for the love of the people in his city and country.
He is 80 years old- I should be so lucky to live that long and serve that well.
