Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good
Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good is a non-partisan organization, dedicated to finding ways to transcend contemporary partisan divides by advocating for the consistent social teaching of the Catholic Church. In this week’s Common Good Forum, we are delighted to feature one of our nation’s most prominent Catholic public servants, Thomas Melady, who served as ambassador to the Holy See for President George H.W. Bush, who speaks on the need for civility in our public discourse.

Civility or Not-- John Edwards still is on my skumbucket of the century list; what an idiot. The girl is now reportedly running around on him- don't even try passing this one off as the next great white hope. I will wretch.
Let me be more emphatic. He is political toast. DONE.
Don't get me started on secret sex tape litigation, setting up a mistress in a multimillion dollar beach house while your dying of cancer wife is a fellow at the Center for American Progress lobbying health care reform, and while you champion 'poverty' injustice issues. Don't get me started on why he was so ineffectual he didn't pay for a recount of the 2004 Ohio election when his election was just as on the line as Kerry's. Don't get me started about lying to your wife, the press and your staff and making staff cover for your adultery. SCUM. POND SCUM. D-O-N-E. DONE. Go home and build a memorial to your wife who had ten times the character you do.
Here is what Jesus called the Pharisees:
Those highly hailed most prestigious religious (and civil) leaders of the day:
White Washed TOMBS full of dead men's bones.
Vipers- (e.g. snakes)
Hypocrites
(and that is only the sanitized reported stuff)
