So You Don't Turn Your Military Hospitals into Abortion Mills.
There is a simple solution to raising the money you think you are going to get by making 'reproductive rights' e.g. abortions available on military bases. Look at your PXs. First, are they
profit centers or subsidized. Px commissaries on military bases offer goods at half the prices or substantial discounts to regular stores and sell supermarket name brands just like you would find anywhere. Are they too cheap? Are they losing money ?
And what is the rationale that supports the policy that not everyone on a base can use them-the civilian non-military don't get Px cards and can't access them . Why? If they are profit centers even with the discounts (because the market in retail is so huge) why don't you want more not less customers using them? You have GS nothing civilian forces not buying in your PX commissaries and spending federal dollars at wholefoods and giant. Why? Do the math on that one- and let me know if you don't make more money by opening up the commissaries, charging maybe a penny or two more, than you would for starting an abortion mill.
I don't even want to know if the reason you want to do this is financial because I would find that sickening. No, No, No- the federal government should not be in the abortion business. It's INSANE. Sorry ACLU- not with you on that one.
