The Bishops have now agreed that baptisms from the Presbyterian Church (and three other Protestant denominations) are equally valid and binding in heaven for salvation purposes.
Good, because I was worried.
Apparently not all Catholic churches got the memo they were not because the one in Santa Monica California didn't need to re-baptize me for RCIA confirmation twenty years ago.
Do you know the legal difference between 'common law marriage' and 'marriage'? Not much.
Same dif. with regard to what the church does or does not want to say with regard to its official sacraments I am afraid. People who are married know they are -it is a condition of the heart. It needs not a paper official document except for the civil purposes of things in the material world like buying property, and dividing assets if it goes awry. People in God's family know they are. Because his sheep hear and know his voice and follow him. Would that the same could be said for some of the official hierarchy.
