Saint Francis still Speaks
I urge everyone to watch the movies and powerpoint here about the Franciscan Friars of the Holy Land. This part of the Franciscan Order (after Saint Francis of Assisi) is charged by the Holy Roman Catholic Church to tend the Christian sites of the Holy Land. The order itself follows after Saint Francis' apostolic poverty. They have a Foundation which supports the needs of the Christian community around the Holy Land Christian sites which in turn helps sustain these sites viably. The conflict in the region has caused a mass exodus of the Christians, who are not connected with the Muslim agenda there but are native Palestinians. They are a peaceful buffer in the conflict caught in the cross-hairs. They worship the Jewish Messiah. They need our help.
