TEN Walkathon: Saturday, November 22

Help the Homeless Walkathon, Saturday, November 22, 2008

Although it receives funding from HUD, the Tenant Empowerment Network cannot pay for all of the program's costs through government grants. TEN relies each year upon the Help for the Homeless Walkathon to meet its bills and to obtain the resources needed. We can participate with TEN to meet these goals and to enjoy the fellowship of other Society members. It's easy and fun. Here is what you need to do to join us:1. Register online for the Walkathon at the website address to preregister for the Walkathon is

http://www.helpthehomelessdc.org/site/TR/Events/General/1281941325?pg=team&fr_id=1000&team_id=1700.

Click on "John Carroll Society" in the "Team Rank" box to the right, and then click on "Join Our Team" to register.

1/Registration is $25 per adult; if you choose to give a contribution, the amount you give will be added to your registration fee.

2. Print your registration form and bring it with you to the onsite registration booth to get your own Walkathon tee shirt.

3. We'll meet at 8:30 a.m. near the start area under a large "C" (for Catholic Charities).

4. The Walkathon begins at 9:00 a.m. on the Mall at 7th St., and after it is done, we'll head to the Dubliner Restaurant for food, drink, and fellowship. For more information about the Walkathon, visit www.helpthehomelessdc.org. We look forward to seeing you there!
