Nancy Pelosi is Welcome There.
Totally under the Radar due to the kerfuffle regarding Obama addressing Notre Dame, Nancy Pelosi flew to Doha, Qatar to deliver the commencement address to the Georgetown Doha Campus as was reported in this weeks Hoya. Jack DeGoia, who is smarter than the average bear, didn't give this much- or any- advance publicity in America and scored a remarkable coup without a peep of irate "baby killer" rhetorical firebombing nonsense.
The woman who is No.3 in line to the White House, the Speaker of the House, arguably the most influential powerful woman in America (or at least tied with Hillary and Michelle) was no doubt a model of grace and inspiration to this class which contained, inter alia, a Sheik/Prince's son and a number of women. The fact that a woman delivered the Commencement Address was
a powerful statement and example to the women of Qatar. She was received by Royalty there.
On the other end of the thoughtful reasonable spectrum- Liberty college which just kicked off
the Young Democrats club banning them from the campus- a la inquisition. Are they going to block everything progressive from the internet also? What if the young democrats want to hold a prayer meeting-will they ban that too? I sense an ACLU freedom of assembly suit or something similar. Every major Democratic gubernatorial candidate slammed the school.
